September’s monthly theme was buildings and around town, so the students made their own suspension bridges in Builder’s Workshop. They learned about the structure of suspension bridges, how they are built and reinforced. 

They compared the suspension bridges to Akashi Kaikyo and Seto Ohashi, which are the suspension bridges students often see when they travel to other prefectures.

At the end, some students had an idea to connect the bridges they’ve made, making one long suspension bridge structure, reminiscent of the bridges they usually see. 


9月の月間テーマは「建物とまちの中」でした。そのため、ビルダーズワークショップでは、生徒たちは自分たちで吊り橋を作りました。吊り橋の構造や、どのように建設され、補強されているのかについて学びました。
また、生徒たちは自分たちの作った吊り橋と、他県へ出かける際によく目にする明石海峡大橋や瀬戸大橋とを比べました。
最後には、生徒の中から作った吊り橋同士をつなげて、普段目にするような長い吊り橋のような構造物を作ってみようというアイデアも出ました。
